Do not purchase when flowers are not in bloom
or when all are completely open. Purchase when first flowers
on the clusters are well open and there are plenty of other
buds ready to burst open. Find out variety. The two key varieties
'Perfecta' and 'Bristol Fairy' differ greatly in appearance. |

Conditioning: |
Recut underwater - (STS) - Preservative
Allow time for flowers to open for special design needs. To
open tight buds, put in warm preservative solution, cover with
plastic and keep room temperature for 24 hours or more. Remove
plastic periodically to allow for air circulation. It is not
necessary to pound stem ends or to shake upside down to "pop"
flowers. |
